Well, that didn’t last long

Hello reader. If you’ve been following along the last few weeks we have been living it up and having a raucous time. Well, that kinda bit us in the behind. You see, COVID came to my home and struck us all. It all started on New Year’s Eve with a tickle of a cough, kinda felt like allergies. I was playing Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on my Switch all day and by mid-afternoon it was a cough. I told my wife and kids that I shouldn’t go out, something isn’t right. But they persisted and we went out to my Sister-in-law’s house for a party to ring in the new year. Yeah, that didn’t turn out so well for everyone.

By Monday morning of the 3rd, everyone that was at the friends Christmas party was sick with COVID. By today, everyone at the New Year’s Eve party is down with it. This sucks.

I felt like I was in a fight with a grizzly bear, my back and stomach muscles hurt bad. The fever and chills were worse. On the evening of the 1st into the 2nd I went to bed early and shivered violently most of the night. I had not taken any ibuprofen to allow my immune system a chance to fight it off. The next morning (2nd) I checked my temp and balked at the 103.6 staring back at me. Holy crap! That was high! I started a low dose of ibuprofen for the headache and pains.

I tested positive at my Dr’s office, while the wife and kids all tested positive at the rapid test site (Aquatic Center). 10 days of quarantine, and an appointment for monoclonal antibody infusion along with steroids and antibiotics for me, thanks asthma! Pray for us.

TTFN.
