To anyone who knows me they know that I love my kids. That is almost an understatement. I would do anything for my kids. Whether that means protecting them from a danger or injury, or even facing the wrath of my wife because I spent too much money on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just last week my wife and I took them to an adult comedy show and let them go in by themselves while we amused ourselves by going out for dinner. It was nerve wracking but they had a freaking BLAST! This only solidified my point that time stops for no man. Soon my children will be on their own out in this screwed up, effed up world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The thought of my kids out on their own excites and terrifies me. I want them to grow and learn and be productive members of society, but I still remember them holding their helpless little bodies in my arms moments after being born. Outside of the doctors, I was the first family member they met and I know that I won\u2019t be their last. I was there when they took their first steps, rode their bicycles without training wheels, and sat with them as they learned how to drive. Time sure is a pain in the ass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I miss their little voices calling out for \u201cDaddy!\u201d and their giggles and hugs and kisses and their eyes looking at me like I was Superman or an absolute genius! Gone are the days of my children looking up at me and to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their days are now filled with high school\/college and band concerts. Spending time with their friends and working. All the things that I want them to do! They have accomplished so much in their short time on this Earth and I pray for them to accomplish much, much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My son is older and as such is blazing the trail for his sister. He is intelligent, and has a thirst for knowledge. He loves a problem and is quick to help others. He is a good looking young man and his girlfriend (of 2 years) will attest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My daughter isn\u2019t much different. But then again, she is. She is very artistic and has a great eye for color and style. I love her sense of humor, because it\u2019s like mine and her laugh is truly infectious. She brightens my mood and when she enters the room. Love you, Bean!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
