Hello loyal readers and fans of my blog. I have been hard at work, ya right, on editing Book 2 of the Hawkins Family Series, New Homestead. It is a slog fest. I am working hard on cleaning up the dialogue and clarifying some scenes. Apparently I had some pretty grandiose ideas about the characters in the beginning. Due to pacing and time constraints I am eliminating most of them. I have to pare down the amount of named characters and pump up the action sequences. I also have been fixing the backstories of the villains! Yeah, I was writing them as tragic people with hard and difficult pasts, but all I really wanted to do was make them assholes! Being in the headspace of your hero and then writing about his adversary is not a good place to be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
